Wednesday 30th April – Hanging Basket Demonstration Coffee Morning – 10am-12pm, WI Centre

Join us at the WI Centre for a fragrant coffee morning, featuring a special demonstration on arranging the perfect hanging basket, presented by Julie from Holwood Nursery.

There will be a raffle.

Tickets: £5 per person

Enjoy a dazzling matinee performance of Phantom of the Opera in London’s West End! Immerse yourself in the breathtaking music and captivating story of this timeless musical, all with the ease of a comfortable coach trip.

Wednesday 21st May – Inspiring Women’s Lunch with Sophie Etheridge – 12pm for 12.30pm – WI Centre, Huntingdon

Truly awe-inspiring, Sophie is a 3 times World Record holder, an open water swimmer, a marathon and channel swimmer, a disability advocate, writer and founder of the “Adaptive and Disabled Open Water Swimmers Group”.

Join us for a delicious summer lunch, followed by Sophie’s mesmerising talk.

Wednesday 4th June – NFWI Annual Meeting Watch Party – 10am – WI Centre

Huntingdon and Peterborough Federation of WIs are hosting a Watch Party at the WI Centre to allow our members to come together and enjoy the NFWI Annual Meeting, including a light lunch.

Exciting speakers announced:

Emma Bridgewater, known as one of the UK’s most recognisable homeware designers.

Angel Strawbridge, founder of the Vintage Patisserie, author of the ‘Vintage Tea Party’ series, and co-owner of Chateau-de-la-Motte Husson, featured on ‘Escape To The Chateau.

Lunch menu:

Quiche and salad.

Strawberries and cream. Please state any dietary requirements when booking.

Saturday 14th June – Federation Summer Walk – 10am – Meet at the Free Church, Market Hill. St Ives, PE27 5AL

Join St Ives WI for a short walk (approx. 1.5 miles) around the beautiful medieval market town of St Ives. For those of you who wish to venture further afield, a longer route (approx. 5 miles) will take you through the town and into the countryside to Houghton Mill, including views of the River Great Ouse. Both walks will start and finish at the Free Church, St Ives. Refreshments will be available before setting out, followed by a delicious lunch back at the church. Non-members including husbands, partners and children are welcome. No dogs please.

Free parking available at St Ives Park and Ride. Paid parking available at Cattle Market Car Park (PE27 5JE) and the Globe Place Car Park (PE27 5PP)

Tickets: Walk only: £5 per person. Walk and lunch: £10 per person.

Wednesday 25th June – Literary Lunch with Apple Gidley – 12pm for 12.30pm, WI Centre

You are invited to listen to what will be a fascinating talk by Apple Gidley! Apple relocated to England in 2023 after almost a lifetime abroad – 12 countries. The experiences of which are reflected in her books whether historical or contemporary. She has published 6 books, her latest novel “Finding Serenissima” was released in March, with her next “Annie’s Day” due for publication in November.

“Make Your Mark with Confidence!”

“Everybody can draw. Prove this to yourself by sharing a Drawing workshop open to all abilities. Forget any preconceptions you might have about what drawing is and enjoy a session of breaking all the rules! Stuart is an experienced artist/teacher who has been involved in Art Education for over 50 years.”

All materials provided. Please bring you own lunch, drinks will be available.
